Our business and contact details

Dee Why Discount Vitamins is operated by Discounted Vitamins Pty Ltd (ABN 18 143 987 973), Shop 1 & 2, 681 Pittwater Road, Dee Why NSW 2099, Australia. Contact orders@discountedvitamins.com.au or (02) 9984 7536 for privacy enquiries.

Delivery, collection and customer support

We use your order details and contact information to prepare purchases, arrange delivery or collection, and assist with returns. Our staff enter the necessary recipient details into Australia Post’s booking service, including your name, address and delivery instructions, and your email or phone number where needed for delivery notifications. Our orders@discountedvitamins.com.au mailbox uses Microsoft 365/Outlook to receive and respond to enquiries and retain related correspondence. Please do not include payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive health information in emails or order notes.

Invoices and order documents

We use Shopify Order Printer and Order Printer Pro (Shop Circle) to prepare and print invoices and order documents. Relevant data includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, billing and delivery addresses, purchased items, prices, discounts, taxes, payment status and delivery instructions. These details support document generation and record keeping. Order Printer Pro may temporarily cache order data and retain operational records. Where a document link is provided, access may involve request and authentication data. Treat invoice links as private. See Order Printer Pro’s Privacy Policy.

Service providers and overseas processing

Our Shopify customer-data hosting location is the United States. Order Printer Pro reports processing through providers in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area and United States, with other countries possible. Microsoft and our other service providers may also process information outside Australia. Processing locations depend on the service used. We do not promise Australian-only storage.

Payments and communications

Our checkout uses Shopify Payments and offers Afterpay where available. Payment providers process payment details and security checks; we use transaction and payment-status information to administer orders and refunds. Our checkout currently does not display email, SMS or WhatsApp marketing sign-up options. Order confirmations, invoices, delivery or collection updates and customer-support messages are separate from promotional communications.

Abandoned checkout emails

We use Shopify Flow and Shopify Messaging to send automated reminders about an incomplete checkout to eligible customers subscribed to email marketing, subject to applicable consent requirements and messaging preferences. We use your contact information, checkout items and value, marketing subscription status and subsequent checkout or purchase activity to decide whether to send a reminder. Our current workflow waits approximately 10 hours after the abandoned-checkout trigger and checks that you have not placed an order or abandoned another checkout since the workflow started, and that at least one checkout item is available and in stock. Delivery is subject to these checks and is not guaranteed at an exact time. You can use the unsubscribe option in a marketing message or contact us to update your preferences. These reminders are separate from confirmations and updates for completed orders, and from Shop reminders.

Shop reminders and marketing choices

Shop remarketing is enabled for cart reminders, back-in-stock alerts, price-drop alerts and browse-abandonment reminders based on activity on our storefront. Eligible Shop users may receive email or push reminders, subject to Shopify's rules and their preferences. These reminders are separate from our checkout marketing sign-up options. You can manage Shop notification preferences through Shop and use any unsubscribe option provided in the message. For promotional messages sent by our store, we rely on consent or another basis permitted by applicable law and provide an opt-out. You can also contact us to update your marketing preferences. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary order or service communications.

Cookies, analytics and Shopify enhanced services

We and Shopify use cookies and similar technologies to operate checkout, maintain sessions, protect the Services, understand use and support applicable personalization and advertising features. Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for our store. Shopify may combine information about your interactions with our store with information from your interactions with other merchants and Shopify to provide Enhanced Services, including improvements, personalization and advertising-related services. Hiding marketing sign-up at checkout does not disable this processing. See “Relationship with Shopify” below for further information and privacy choices.

Where a cookie or data-sharing preference control is available, you can use it to manage the relevant choices. You can also manage cookies in your browser, although blocking necessary cookies may affect checkout or other functions. Visit the Shopify Privacy Portal to learn about requests and choices relating to Shopify's processing, including deletion and advertising-related sharing. Rights and available controls depend on your location and applicable law.

Privacy requests and complaints

Contact us using the details above to request access or correction, or to raise a privacy concern. Tell us what happened and how we can contact you. We may verify your identity, investigate with relevant service providers, and respond with the outcome and any proposed steps within a reasonable period and applicable legal time limits. If unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, where applicable. Records required for legal obligations or disputes may need to be retained.

Our normal retention period for general enquiries that do not form part of a transaction or ongoing matter is 12 months after the enquiry is closed. Temporary downloaded files and duplicate working or printed copies are normally securely deleted or shredded within 90 days after the work is completed, once a complete and reliable master record has been retained. This does not apply to original records needed for financial, legal or other continuing purposes.

We suspend routine disposal where records are needed for an unresolved complaint, return, dispute, investigation or legal obligation. Other personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is held. When no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it. Service-provider backups and independently retained records may follow different retention cycles or legal requirements; these periods are not a promise of immediate deletion from every system.
